Shirdi is a religious place and the home of great saint Sai Baba. It is in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Sai Baba is regarded by their devotees as a saint, a fakir, a Satguru and an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
It is assumed that Sai Baba had arrived at Shirdi in 1858 and spent here 60 years of his life and then he went for contemplation (Samadhi) at Shirdi himself in 1918. Saibaba is popularly known as the incarnation of God and he always spread the message of amiable nature. Saibaba had given the universal slogan of “Shraddha – Saburi”, i.e. Faith and Patience for everyone.
